The 17 Day Diet is organized into four cycles: Accelerate, Activate, Achieve, and Arrive.

Each cycle lasts for 17 days and has a specific purpose. The cycles work together to maximize your body’s potential -- first to reach your ideal weight, then to maintain that weight.

The 17 Day Diet is organized into four Cycles. You’ll stay on each Cycle for 17 days. Each Cycle has different weightloss and health benefits, and by completing all four you’ll start by experiencing rapid weight loss, followed by steady continued loss and sustained health benefits over time...

  • ACCELERATE: This first cycle is known as the rapid weight loss cycle. You’ll flush sugar and fat from your system and introduce foods and nutrients into your diet that have been proven to trim belly fat, thigh fat, and other stubborn fat zones.
  • ACTIVATE: This is the metabolic boost cycle. You’ll alternate between low- and high-calorie days (this is where “metabolic confusion” comes in) and watch the fat continue to melt away!
  • ACHIEVE: This is the steady weight loss cycle. You’ll learn to control portions properly and start the exciting (and quick!) 17 Minute Spot Reduction Workout.

Cycle 1 Overview (Accelerate Diet)

On Cycle 1 of the 17 Day Diet, you should be prepared to experience the rapid weight loss. This is the detox phase that works by cutting out sugars to flush toxins from your body, and incorporating low-impact exercise.

What you’ll Eat on Cycle 1 of the 17 Day Diet:

Your 17 Day Diet Meal Plan for Cycle 1 will consist of healthy, clean foods.

During this cycle you’ll load up on unlimited amounts of lean proteins -- chicken, turkey, and fish -- and cleansing veggies like carrots and broccoli.

You’ll also enjoy two servings of low-sugar fruit per day, two probiotics (like no-sugar-added yogurt), and unlimited healthy fats like olive oil.

Benefits of Cycle 1 of the 17 Day Diet:

Because you’re eliminating sugar and carbs and flushing unhealthy toxins from your body in the 17 Day Diet Cycle 1, you’ll experience rapid weight loss as a result.

It’s not uncommon to lose between 10-12 pounds during this cycle. Some lose even more. (Depending on your starting weight - results will vary, of course.)

Exercise in Cycle 1 of the 17 Day Diet:

Physical activity is always important, but you’ll be sticking to low-impact exercise for a short duration each day. I recommend this highly effective 17 minute workout for Cycle 1.

Things to watch out for on Cycle 1 of the 17 Day Diet:

Your body will be adjusting to the detox and you may experience mild headaches or lightheadedness for the first few days. Some people experience low energy levels as well.

These effects are normal. Hydration is key for combating these symptoms during Cycle 1. Drink plenty of water. Eat plenty of Cycle 1 approved foods.
